Strategies to get the very best rental experience:
Finding your perfect rental home:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation rentals are booked very early. Reserving your rental home up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation home.
- Reserve your Myrtle Beach vacation home in Fall or Spring to enjoy beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowds.
- Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Ask your property manager if rate reductions are available for your group.
- Property managers typically offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
- Many property management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guide magazines which often include special deals, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Planning and picking the rightrental:
- Start by choosing your a vacation week and a maximum budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Welcome Home at J & P By the Sea! 4 bed/3 bath home w/ ramp and 1 golf cart!! has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is regularly available on booking pages. If they are not listed, reach out to the property manager before booking the rental. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to work out what is optimal for your group.
- Traveling with pets? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your rental agreement! Pet fees or costs applied to your invoice.
- Are you looking for unique amenities? Most rental websites include amenity lists and search filters.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. .
Know before you go:
- Take a copy of the host's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental property.
- Property managers are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Lock your rental while you're out. Protect the owner's property and your things!
- Document any issues with the property upon arrival, and immediately send them to the owner. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that can be very helpful if a dispute arises.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a terrific resource to find the best local scenic spots.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can usually help. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Re-check the vacation property to confirm that you've packed everything at departure. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Leave a review! Property managers rely on good ratings to stimulate more bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
