Tips and Tricks to get the very best vacation rental experience:

How to get the best value:

  • To book the largest vacation home within your budget, we suggest reserving in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll enjoy lower rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at your favorite Myrtle Beach restaurants and activities. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season.
  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can book, the easier your search will be. The best rental homes are reserved early. Booking your vacation property up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your rental home.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host if your family qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitors guide magazines contain coupons for nearby shops and restaurants.

Make a plan and pick the perfectrental home:

  • Begin by selecting trip dates and a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration you need. Wyndham SeaWatch
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is often available online. Otherwise, email the property manager before you reserve your home. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • If there's a particular Myrtle Beach beach you are enamored with, look for homes that are either near by, or those that cater to your desires.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. .
  • Do your family pets travel with you? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional fees or costs may be applied to your agreement.

Advice for a wonderful stay:

  • Be sure you get the host's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental.
  • To make certain no damages are attributed to your visit, make a record of any problem areas during arrival. Speak to the property manager immediately to record your findings. If there is a dispute, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Hosts are there to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Be respectful of your neighbors. Often times, adjacent homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking policies is the right thing to do.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can frequently help. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Keep the property locked while you are out! Don't let thieves spoil your vacation.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected all belongings. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the property one final time and look for damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the host is not available, ensure that you take video of the property to record its condition.
  • Did you have a excellent vacation? Most rental management companies make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your property and/or property manager was great, they would love to hear about it. If anything was out of order and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
