Myrtle Beach rental home booking tips and tricks:
When to book a Myrtle Beach rental & When to go:
- To find the best value, consider shifting your group's trip dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer warm temperatures, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner your group can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked early. Booking your rental up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your rental home.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host whether your group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer renters an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for details.
- Often, rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guide magazines which include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local companies, or through a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Selecting and booking the best Myrtle Beach rental:
- Choose a designated group leader, choose your vacation dates, and select a spending budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your group requires. 4BR/3BA steps to the Ocean, 2 golf carts available has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts is often accessible on booking pages. If not, reach out to the property owner before booking the vacation property. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to work out which bed configuration is best for your family.
- If there's a specific Myrtle Beach destination you love, search for properties that are either close by, or those that cater to your desires.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
- If your group is bringing pets, you must reserve a pet-friendly vacation rental. Ask for specifics on breed, weight, and type requirements. Usually, hosts charge additional pet fees.
Tips for your stay:
- Be sure you get the property manager's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental home.
- Record any damages to the rental during check in, and immediately send them to the owner. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be valuable if there is a dispute.
- Hosts are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
- Be respectful. Often, surrounding homes are filled by local residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Lock your rental while you're out and about. Protect your property!
- On check-out day, take a final walk-through to make sure you have not forget anything. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your group have a fantastic time? Many rental websites make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property management company was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was defective and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
