Strategies to get the perfect Myrtle Beach rental experience:
When to book & When to go:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Myrtle Beach area. Reserving a rental home in the Spring or Fall is an excellent way to save on your vacation home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable homes. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
- Reserve your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often open a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Winter holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host whether your group qualifies for a reduced rate.
- Booking websites frequently offer renters an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly costs 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for additional information.
- Look for your local visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitor guides have money saving offers on local tours and attractions.
Choosing the best vacation home:
- Begin by choosing potential vacation weeks and a budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family needs. Luxury Margate 4bdrm condo in Kingston Resorts! Book now-reserve your vacation! has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is often accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, email the property owner before reserving the rental. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
- Visiting for a single event or attraction? Try a map search to find nearby properties.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking
- Some rental properties allow pets, and others do not. Acceptable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask the host about your furry family members before booking.
More considerations for your visit:
- Get the host's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your . We recommend storing the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Upon arrival, document any issues with the property and immediately contact the property manager. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, intercom or kitchen appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents many concerns.
- Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Often, surrounding homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking policies is the right thing to do.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Keep your rental home locked while you are gone! Don't let thieves spoil your vacation.
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the property to make sure you've collected everything. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Please make sure to walk through the rental one final time and look for any damage. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager isn't available, ensure that you take video of the property to record its condition.
- Remember to leave feedback! Property managers rely on great ratings to compel new bookings. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your review find their best vacation rental. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
