Myrtle Beach rental property booking tips and tricks:
Sticking to a spending plan:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Myrtle Beach area. To find the most suitable rental home within budget, we suggest reserving in Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at your favorite restaurants and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rentals during holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Some property managers offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your family before you book.
- Property management companies frequently offer their guests an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which generally costs between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for additional information.
- Look for your local visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitor guides contain coupons for local tours and attractions.
Planning, picking, and booking the bestvacation home:
- Select a group lead, choose your vacation dates, and choose a budget.
- Determine how many beds and the configuration your group requires. 5th Floor Oceanfront Snowbird Friendly Condo w/ AC, WiFi, Shared Pool/Hot Tub has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is normally available online. If you don't see them listed, call the property manager before reserving the vacation property. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches. You'll need to determine which bed configuration is right for your vacation family.
- Are you visiting for a single event or attraction? Try a map search to locate nearby properties.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. .
- Traveling with pets? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Pet fees or costs could be applied to your contract.
Considerations for your stay:
- Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and save the instructions to your smartphone.
- Upon arrival, make note of any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the host. Keep records of all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, elevator or kitchen appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent many concerns.
- Respect the neighborhood. Often, surrounding homes are filled by local residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations is the right thing to do.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can often help. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- Lock your rental home while you are out. Protect the owner's property and your things!
- Re-check the rental property to confirm that you've packed everything on check-out day. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Remember to leave a review! Property owners rely on excellent ratings to drive future reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your review and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.
