- Reserve your Myrtle Beach rental property in Spring or Fall to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
- Management companies and individual rental owners often offer guests an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
- Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides that include special offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Narrow your rental Search:
- First, have your family commit to dates and a maximum budget.
- Decide how many beds and the configuration your group needs. Beautiful & Comfy Oceanfront Studio has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is regularly available online. If you don't see them listed, email the property owner before reserving the vacation home. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You'll need to determine what is optimal for your vacation.
- If your group is bringing pets, you must reserve a pet-friendly property. Get details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Often, property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.
- Are you visiting for a specific event? Use a map search to find nearby properties.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. .
Advice for your stay:
- Be sure you get the host's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your . Put the host's information in your smartphone.
- Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
- Ensure you protect the owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home while you are gone, just like you would at home.
- Note any damages to the property during check in, and immediately e-mail them to the host. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are useful if there is a dispute.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often a terrific resource to find the best local beaches and restaurants.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Double-check the property to confirm that you've packed all of your family's items at check-out. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the rental a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager isn't available, remember to take pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- After your trip, leave a review! Hosts rely on good reviews to drive future reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other families will be thankful you shared your feedback find their best vacation home. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.
