Tips and Tricks to get the perfect rental home experience:

When to go & When to reserve a Myrtle Beach rental home:

  • The sooner you can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation homes are reserved early. Reserving your vacation home six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your vacation home.
  • June, July, and August are high season in the Myrtle Beach area. Book your Myrtle Beach vacation home in Spring or Fall to get the benefit of beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host whether your group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Property management companies usually offer guests an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Find a copy of your local visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitor guide magazines contain coupons for nearby attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.

Planning and picking a perfectvacation home:

  • Select vacation week and maximum budget.
  • Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Fantastic Ocean Views with Resort Amenities-2 bedrooms, 2 bath, sleeps 8 has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is generally accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, email the property owner before booking the home. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • Some properties allow pets, and others don't. Allowable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask the owner about pet restrictions before booking.
  • If there's a certain Myrtle Beach destination you are enamored with, search for rentals that are either close by, or those that cater to your desires.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. .

More considerations:

  • Get the host's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your .
  • Property managers are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Keep the property locked while you are away! Don't let crooks ruin your vacation.
  • To make sure damages are not linked to your stay, record any problem areas during arrival. Call the host right away to document any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable visitors disrupting your peaceful neighborhood. Use the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would have never otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Re-check every room of the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all personal items at departure. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the property a final time and scan for any damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can. If the manager isn't available, ensure that you take photographs of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did your family have a terrific vacation? Many rental websites make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your rental and/or property management company was wonderful, they would love to hear it. If anything was amiss and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
