Tips for getting the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:

When to reserve a Myrtle Beach rental home & When to go:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Myrtle Beach. Reserve your vacation home in Spring or Fall to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner your group can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable properties are booked early. Reserving your rental home six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and book your vacation home.
  • Owners sometimes offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your group before you book.
  • Property management companies typically offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Often, property management companies supply Myrtle Beach area travel guide magazines which include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

How to pick the perfect vacation rental:

  • Choose your vacation week and budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your family requires. Beautiful Clean Updated Modern Direct Oceanfront Unit With Amazing Views has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is commonly available on booking pages. If they are not listed, contact the property manager before reserving the vacation property. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches. You will need to work out what is best for your group.
  • If there's a particular Myrtle Beach attraction you simply love, browse properties that are either nearby, or those that cater to your requirements.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before booking.
  • If your family is bringing pets, search for a pet-friendly vacation rental. Ask for specifics on breed, size, and type requirements. Some property owners charge additional pet fees.

More considerations for your visit:

  • Get the property manager's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental.
  • At Check-in, note any issues with the property and immediately contact the host. Record all coorespondence.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, intercom or coffee maker. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent lots of problems.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often a fantastic resource to find the best local scenic spots.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can frequently help. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Keep your rental home locked while you're away! Don't let thieves spoil your family vacation.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the rental to confirm you've collected everything. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Please make sure to walk through the rental a final time and scan for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, ensure that you take photos and video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Property managers rely on good feedback to drive future reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
