How to find the best Myrtle Beach vacation home experience:
When to book & When to go:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Myrtle Beach area. Book your Myrtle Beach vacation home in Fall or Spring to get the benefit of warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds.
- Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules usually open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacations during holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner if your vacationing group qualifies for a reduced rate.
- Property managers typically offer renters an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for details.
- Look for your local visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitors guide magazines contain deals for local shops and restaurants.
Choosing and booking a perfect Myrtle Beach vacation home:
- Start by selecting trip dates and a budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your group requires. Close To Downtown Myrtle Beach But Far Enough Away To Enjoy The Peace And Quiet! has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is generally available on booking pages. If not, email or call the host before you book the rental. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to determine what is suitable for your trip.
- Visiting for a specific attraction or event? Use a map search to find nearby properties.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are included before booking.
- Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional pet fees or might be applied to your invoice.
Have a wonderful stay:
- Take a copy of the host's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your . Put the manager's information in your smartphone.
- Upon check-in, make note of any damages to the rental property and immediately contact the host. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, television set or appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents quite a few problems.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be a great resource to find the best local beaches and hangouts.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Protect the owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are away, just like you would back home.
- Upon check-out, take a final walk-through to confirm you didn't forget any personal items. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your group have a excellent vacation? Most rental websites make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your property and/or property manager was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was imperfect and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
