Finding the best Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:

Sticking to your budget:

  • To find the best value, try shifting your trip dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer warmer temperatures, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation rentals are reserved very early. Booking your rental 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation home.
  • Owners sometimes offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Check with your property manager to see if special discounts are available for your family.
  • Property managers often offer customers an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for details.
  • Many rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guide magazines which include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or through a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Planning, picking, and booking the perfectvacation home:

  • Choose a designated group leader, select your trip dates, and select a max budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the configuration your group requires. Coastal Bliss Ocean View 2BR Condo on 4th Floor has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is often accessible online. If not, contact the property manager before you book the property. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches. You'll need to determine what is best for your trip.
  • Are you visiting for a specific event or attraction? Try a map search to browse nearby rentals.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are available before booking
  • Some properties allow pets, and some don't. Acceptable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask the property management company about pet restrictions before booking.

More tips for your visit:

  • Store the owner's information in your smartphone.
  • To make certain that damages aren't linked to your family's visit, make note of any problem areas upon check in. text the host right away to document any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Property managers are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant vacationers disrupting your peaceful neighborhood. Use the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would have not otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home while you are out, just like you would at home.
  • Double-check the property to make sure that you've packed all of your family's items at departure. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Remember to leave a review! Property managers rely on excellent reviews to inspire future reservations. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationers will will be grateful for your review find their best vacation rental. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.
