Strategies for getting the perfect vacation property experience:
Sticking to your spending plan:
- Summertime is high season in Myrtle Beach. Book your Myrtle Beach rental in the Fall or Spring to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner you can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The best properties are booked early. Reserving your rental up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your rental property.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host if your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction.
- Booking websites often offer guests an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitor guides contain offers and deals for nearby accommodations and attractions.
Planning and choosing the perfectvacation home:
- Choose a designated group leader, choose your vacation week, and select a budget.
- Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Newly Renovated Ocean View 2 Bdrm Condo 21st Floor has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is normally available on booking websites. If they are not listed, call the property owner before you reserve the vacation home. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull out couches in living rooms.
- Is your family looking for particular amenities? Most websites include search filters with amenity lists.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all required amenities are available before reserving a rental.
- Some properties allow pets, but others don't. Acceptable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask your host about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
Some things to know before you go:
- Add the property manager's contact info to your smartphone. Print and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- Note any damages to the rental upon arrival, and immediately send them to the property manager. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are very helpful if there is a dispute.
- Hosts are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant vacationers disrupting your home life. Practice the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and scenic spots you would have never otherwise known about!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- Lock your vacation home while you are away. Protect your property!
- Re-check every room of the rental property to make sure that you've packed everything at check-out. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Leave a review! Property owners rely on great feedback to stimulate new bookings. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your review and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
