Tips to get the optimal Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:

Get the most from your budget:

  • Book your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Booking your vacation home in the Spring or Fall is a good way to save money on your vacation. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable homes. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host whether your family qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer their guests an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally costs between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for specifics.
  • Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guides that include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

How to pick the perfect rental:

  • To start, have your family select date ranges and a spending budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the configuration your family needs. Coastal Comfort Queen Efficiency 2nd Floor has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is commonly available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, email the property owner before booking your home. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to work out what configuration is optimal for your trip.
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, search for a pet-friendly rental. Make sure to ask for specifics on breed, size, and type restrictions. Some hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
  • Are you visiting for a single attraction? Use a map search to find nearby properties.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. .

More tips for your visit:

  • Add the property manager's contact info to your smartphone. Understand and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, elevator or kitchen appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents lots of problems.
  • Lock your rental property while you are out! Don't let burglars ruin your vacation.
  • To make certain no damages are attributed to your visit, inspect the rental for any problem areas upon your arrival. text the rental manager immediately to record your findings. If there is a dispute, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud vacationers bothering your peace and quiet. Apply the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and scenic spots you would have not otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • At departure, take a walk-through to make sure you didn't leave anything behind. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did your family have a fantastic time? Most rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property management company was wonderful, they would love to hear about it. If anything was wrong and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
