How to find the best Myrtle Beach rental home experience:

Finding the best rental home value:

  • Summer time is high season in Myrtle Beach. To find the best value, consider changing your trip dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer great temperatures, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • Reserve your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families book their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Hosts sometimes offer rate reductions for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if rate reductions are available for your group before you book.
  • Property management companies often offer guests an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for details.
  • Many rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guide magazines which often include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Filter your rental search:

  • Select a designated group leader, choose your dates, and select a maximum budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. Coastal Serenity: Ocean View 2 Bdrm Condo 9th Flr has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is regularly accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, call the property management company before you reserve the vacation property. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches. You will need to work out what configuration is optimal for your vacation group.
  • If there's a specific Myrtle Beach beach you crave, browse properties that are either near by, or those that cater to your requirements.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental.
  • If your family is bringing pets, you'll need to find a property that allows animals. Ask for specifics on breed, size, and type restrictions. Often, property owners charge additional pet fees.

More considerations for your visit:

  • Add the property manager's contact information to your smartphone. Take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • At Check-in, make note of any damages to the rental property and immediately contact the owner. Record all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
  • Property managers are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are a great resource to find the best local beaches and hangouts.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Lock your vacation home while you are away. Protect your property!
  • Just before checking out, complete a walk-through to make sure you did not forget anything. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the property a final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise walking through with the host whenever possible. If the manager is not available, remember to take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition.
  • Leave a review! Hosts rely on great ratings to stimulate new bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your experience find their best rental home. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
