Finding the best Myrtle Beach rental experience:

Sticking to your rental budget:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Myrtle Beach. To get the best vacation home for your budget, we recommend booking in the Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at the beach and popular attractions. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier your group can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The best properties are reserved very early. Reserving your rental up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your vacation rental.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Property management companies frequently offer their guests an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for more information.
  • Many rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area travel guides which often include special offers, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Selecting the perfect rental in Myrtle Beach:

  • First, have your family choose dates and a spending budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your group needs. Dunes Village Resort-Indoor Water Park-2 BR\/2 BA-Full Glass Wall for Great View has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally available on booking pages. Otherwise, contact the property manager before you reserve your home. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches. You'll need to determine what is suitable for your vacation.
  • If there's a particular Myrtle Beach attraction you are enamored with, look for homes that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your desires.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.
  • If your group is traveling with pets, you must reserve a rental that allows animals. Request specifics on breed, size, and type restrictions. Usually, property owners charge additional pet fees.

Some things to know before you go:

  • Be sure you get the property manager's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental home.
  • During arrival, record any damages to the property and immediately alert the owner. Keep records of all coorespondence.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, elevator or appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call prevents many problems.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable vacationers disrupting your quiet neighborhood. Apply the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and places you would have not otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can often help. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Lock your rental home while you're out. Protect your property!
  • Just before checking out, complete a walk-through to make sure you haven't leave anything behind. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the rental a final time and scan for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the manager is not available, ensure that you take photos and video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Property owners rely on excellent ratings to inspire future bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review.
