Strategies to get the perfect vacation property experience:

Get the best rental home value:

  • Booking your vacation rental in the Spring or Fall is our best tip for saving money on your vacation rental. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable homes. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner your group can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation homes are booked early. Reserving your vacation home six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and book your rental.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host whether your group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Property managers frequently offer renters an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for details.
  • Many property management companies supply Myrtle Beach area travel guide magazines which often include coupons, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

How to select the perfect rental:

  • Select a group lead, select your dates, and choose a budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the configuration your group needs. $150 activities - E-gift card when you book - Extra Deep Oceanfront Balcony
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is almost always accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, reach out to the property management company before you reserve the rental. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches.
  • If there's a particular Myrtle Beach attraction you love, keep an eye out for properties that are either near by, or those that cater to your needs.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. .
  • Remember to include your furry companions! Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your rental agreement! Extra fees or charges may be applied to your contract.

More tips for your stay:

  • Add the host's information to your phone. Understand and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • Document any damages to the rental at check in, and immediately e-mail them to the property manager. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that are valuable if a dispute is filed.
  • Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. You will enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often a great source for finding the best local scenic spots.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Keep your rental home locked while you are gone! Don't let burglars spoil your trip.
  • Just before checking out, take a walk-through to confirm you have not forget any personal items. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did your group have a terrific time? Most rental management companies make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property management company was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
