Tricks and tips to get the optimal Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:
Sticking to your rental budget:
- To find the most suitable rental within budget, we suggest reserving in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll enjoy lower rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at Myrtle Beach restaurants, beaches, and activities.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation home six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your vacation rental.
- Property managers sometimes offer discounts for veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your group before you book.
- Management companies and individual rental owners often offer renters an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for details.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitor guide magazines contain discounts for nearby accommodations, restaurants and tours.
Planning, selecting, and booking the perfectrental home:
- To start, have your group select trip dates and a max budget.
- Note the number beds and the bed configuration your family needs. Renting for Summer 2025 GREAT FOR FAMILIES AND GOLFERS has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed types is commonly accessible on booking websites. If not, call the property management company before you reserve the property. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches.
- Is your family looking for special amenities? Most websites include amenity lists and search filters. Use these filters to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking
- If your group is vacationing with pets, search for a pet-friendly rental. Ask for specifics on breed, size, and type requirements. Some property managers charge pet deposits and fees.
Have a fantastic stay:
- Take a copy of the host's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your .
- To ensure that damages aren't linked to your stay, inspect the property for any problem areas upon check in. Make contact with the property manager immediately to relay any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, stereo or washer/dryer. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent many issues.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an incredible resource to find the best local scenic spots.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
- Lock your rental home while you are out. Protect the owner's property and your things!
- Double-check the rental property to confirm that you've packed all of your family's items at check-out. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the property one final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager is not available, ensure that you take video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- After your trip, leave feedback! Property owners rely on good reviews to propel more bookings. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other families will be thankful you shared your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
