Finding the best Myrtle Beach rental home experience:
How to get the best value:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are booked very early. Reserving your vacation rental six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental home.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Myrtle Beach. Reserving a rental home in the Fall or Spring is our favorite way to save money on your vacation rental. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable homes. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host if your family qualifies for a special rate.
- Property managers frequently offer renters an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for additional information.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach area magazine upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local articles, visitors guides have coupons for nearby attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.
How to choose and book your prefectrental:
- Select dates and spending budget.
- Determine how many beds and the configuration your family needs. Huge 2 Bed\/2 Bath at AAA Four Diamond Resort by Luxury Beach Rentals has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rentals search.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is usually available on booking pages. If not, email the property manager before you reserve the property. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull out couches in living rooms.
- Some rentals allow pets, but some don't. Acceptable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask the property management company about your furry family members before booking.
- Does your group require special amenities? Most websites include amenity lists and search filters.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Remember to confirm all required amenities are included before booking
Some things to know before you go:
- Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the instructions to your phone.
- Hosts are great sources of help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking the property when you are away, just like you would at home.
- Note any issues with the rental upon arrival, and immediately send them to the owner. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that are valuable if there is a dispute.
- Be a good neighbor. Frequently, surrounding homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Just before checking out, complete a final walk-through to make sure you didn't forget any personal items. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your group have a great vacation? Most rental management companies make it easy for customers to provide comments. If your property and/or property management company was wonderful, they would love to hear it. If anything was out of order and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
