Tips for getting the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation home experience:

Getting the best rental home value:

  • The sooner you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best rental homes are reserved early. Booking your vacation home up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation home.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal SC. To get the best value, try shifting your family's Myrtle Beach vacation to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer great temperatures, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • Some property management companies offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your group.
  • Property management companies frequently offer renters an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
  • Often, property management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guides which often include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

How to choose the best rental:

  • Start by choosing potential vacation weeks and a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your group needs. King Bed Beach Escape - Landmark 812 has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly available on booking websites. If they are not listed, email the property management company before booking the property. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to work out what is optimal for your group.
  • Traveling with pets? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your agreement! Pet fees or costs could be applied to your contract.
  • Is your family looking for special amenities? Most websites include search filters with amenity lists. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the perfect rental.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. .

Considerations for your stay:

  • Put the host's information in your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent quite a few concerns.
  • Lock your vacation home while you're out. Protect your property!
  • During arrival, record any issues with the rental property and immediately contact the property manager. Record all coorespondence.
  • Respect your neighbors. Often, nearby homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the property to reconfirm you've collected all belongings. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Walk through the property a final time and keep an eye out for damage. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the host isn't available, take pictures of the rental to record its condition.
  • Leave a review! Hosts rely on excellent ratings to drive more reservations. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your review find their best rental home. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.
