Tips to get the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:

When to visit & When to reserve a Myrtle Beach rental home:

  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation rentals are reserved early. Reserving your vacation property 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental property.
  • June, July, and August are high season in Myrtle Beach. To book the largest rental within your budget, we strongly suggest reserving in Fall or Spring months. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at restaurants, beaches, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • Property managers sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your family.
  • Property management companies typically offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for details.
  • Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guide magazines that include special deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Finding the best vacation home in Myrtle Beach:

  • Select a group leader, select your vacation week, and choose a spending budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the configuration you need. Welcome PGA May 2024 to this safe, quiet & lovely neighborhood near the beach has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is generally available on booking pages. Otherwise, call the host before reserving the home. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds. You will need to determine what configuration is best for your vacation family.
  • Remember to include your furry companions! Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Extra fees or costs applied to your contract.
  • If there's a certain Myrtle Beach beach you simply love, keep an eye out for rentals that are either close by, or those that cater to your desires.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all required amenities are included before booking

Considerations for your stay:

  • Be sure you get the owner's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your .
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, A/V setup or kitchen appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents quite a few concerns.
  • Keep the property locked while you are out! Don't let burglars ruin your trip.
  • To make certain damages are not linked to your visit, make a record of any problem areas upon your arrival. text the host immediately to document your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable visitors bothering your peaceful home. Practice the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and attractions you would've not otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Upon check-out, complete a walk-through to confirm you have not forget any personal items. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did you have a terrific stay? Most rental management companies make it easy for customers to provide comments. If your rental and/or host was terrific, they would love to hear about it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
