Tricks and tips for getting the best Myrtle Beach rental experience:
When to book & When to go:
- To get the most suitable rental within budget, we recommend booking in Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at your favorite restaurants and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
- Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer vacations during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host whether your group qualifies for a price reduction.
- Property management companies usually offer guests an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for additional information.
- Look for your local visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitors guide magazines contain offers and deals for local restaurants, attractions, and tours.
Make a plan and pick the bestrental:
- Begin by selecting trip dates and a budget.
- Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Spacious 2 bed 2 bath Golf Course Condo - Perfect for 6-8 Guests! Magnolia North Unit 201 has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is normally available on booking pages. If not, call the property manager before you book the vacation home. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to determine what bed configuration is suitable for your family.
- If there's a specific Myrtle Beach destination you love, look for homes that are either nearby, or those that cater to your requirements.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
- Traveling with pets? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Extra fees or could be applied to your contract.
More tips for your stay:
- Add the host's information to your phone. Print and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- During arrival, make note of any damages to the property and immediately contact the property manager. Record all coorespondence.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, A/V setup or appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents quite a few concerns.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often a great source for finding the best local beaches.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Ensure you protect the owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are out, just like you would at home.
- On check-out day, take a final walk-through to confirm you did not forget anything. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Please make sure to walk through the rental one final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, remember to take photos and video of the property to record its condition.
- Remember to leave a review! Property managers rely on great ratings to propel new bookings. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your feedback find their best vacation home. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
