Rental home booking tips and tricks:
Get the most from your rental budget:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Myrtle Beach area. Booking your Myrtle Beach vacation rental in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is a great way to save on your rental home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable homes.
- Reserve your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally open a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups book their Summer rentals during Winter holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your family qualifies for a special rate.
- Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer their guests an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for specifics.
- Many rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area travel guide magazines which will include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Planning and picking the best Myrtle Beach rental:
- To start, have your group decide on date ranges and a spending budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the configuration you need. Golf Villa Charm
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is regularly accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, reach out to the property management company before booking the home. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds. You'll need to determine what is suitable for your family.
- If there's an individual Myrtle Beach attraction you are crazy about, look for homes that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your desires.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental
- Do your family pets travel with you? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your agreement! Additional fees or charges may be applied to your agreement.
During your stay:
- Put the host's information in your smartphone.
- Upon check-in, make note of any damages to the property and immediately alert the property manager. Keep records of all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, elevator or washer/dryer. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents a lot of difficulties.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often an excellent source for finding the best local scenic spots.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are gone, just like you would at home.
- Upon check-out, complete a final walk-through to make sure you haven't leave anything behind. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- After your trip, leave a review! Property managers rely on great reviews to inspire future reservations. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other families will be thankful you shared your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.
