How to book the best Myrtle Beach rental experience:
When to reserve a Myrtle Beach rental & When to go:
- The sooner your group can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best rental properties are booked very early. Booking your rental up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation rental.
- Summer months are the most expensive season in Myrtle Beach. Booking your Myrtle Beach vacation rental in Spring or Fall is a good way to save on your vacation home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of desirable homes.
- Some hosts and property managers offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if special discounts are available for your family before you book.
- Property managers typically offer guests an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which usually costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for specifics.
- Often, property management companies supply Myrtle Beach area travel guides which include special deals, either offered independently by local companies, or through a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
How to select the best rental home in the Myrtle Beach area:
- Begin by choosing the best vacation week and a max budget.
- Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Magnolia Pointe 4889-103 has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach vacation rental search.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts is commonly available online. If not, email or call the property manager before you book the vacation home. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds. You'll need to determine which bed configuration is suitable for your vacation.
- If your group is bringing pets, you must book a pet-friendly vacation rental. Ask for information on breed, size, and type restrictions. Some property owners charge additional pet fees.
- Is your family looking for specific amenities? Most websites include search filters with amenity lists. Use these filters to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking.
Some things to know before you go:
- Take a copy of the owner's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental home. Put the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
- Lock your rental property while you're out! Don't let burglars spoil your vacation.
- To ensure that damages aren't linked to your family's visit, inspect the property for any problem areas upon your arrival. Call the property manager immediately to relay any damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Be respectful. Often times, nearby homes are filled by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking rules is the right thing to do.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
- At departure, take a final walk-through to make sure you didn't leave anything behind. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Walk through the property a final time and scan for damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the host isn't available, take photographs of the property to record its condition.
- Remember to leave a review! Hosts rely on excellent feedback to stimulate future reservations. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your feedback find their best rental home. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
