How to book the best Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:

When to reserve a Myrtle Beach rental & When to go:

  • The earlier you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are reserved early. Booking your vacation home 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation home.
  • Booking your Myrtle Beach vacation home in the Spring or Fall is a good way to save money on your vacation. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable homes. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners often offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which generally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
  • Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitor guides contain offers and deals for local accommodations, tours and attractions.

Planning and choosing yourrental home:

  • Select your dates and budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your group requires. Myrtle Beach Condo, Ocean View Shore Drive! Free Wifi has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach vacation rental search.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts is generally available on booking pages. Otherwise, reach out to the host before you book the property. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • If your family is traveling with pets, you must reserve a pet-friendly rental. Ask for specifics on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Note that some hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
  • If there's an individual Myrtle Beach destination you are crazy about, browse properties that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your needs.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. .

More tips for your stay:

  • Get the host's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental home.
  • Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
  • Lock your rental property while you are away! Don't let crooks ruin your trip.
  • To make sure damages are not attributed to your family's stay, inspect the property for any problem areas during check in. message the property manager immediately to report your findings. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud vacationers bothering your peace. Use the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and places you would have not otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Double-check every room of the property to confirm that you've packed all of your family's items at departure. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Please make sure to walk through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager isn't available, take photographs of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a terrific vacation? Many rental home management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property manager was terrific, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was out of order and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
