Tips and Tricks to get the perfect rental home experience:

Getting the most from your spending budget:

  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner you can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best rental homes are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation property up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation rental.
  • To find the best value, try changing your group's vacation to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer great weather, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • Some hosts offer promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your family.
  • Property managers typically offer customers an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Many rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guide magazines that include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Planning and picking the best Myrtle Beach vacation home:

  • Start by having your group select vacation dates and a max budget.
  • Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. ??Amazing OCEANFRONT 2Bd @ Bluewater Resort! ??????? has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach vacation rental search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is often accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, reach out to the host before booking your home. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to determine what is optimal for your vacation family.
  • If your family is vacationing with pets, you must reserve a pet-friendly rental. Request details on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Note that some property managers charge additional pet fees.
  • If there's a specific Myrtle Beach attraction you love, keep an eye out for homes that are either near by, or those that cater to your requirements.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.

More tips for your visit:

  • Be sure you get the host's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your . Put the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, stereo or appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call prevents lots of difficulties.
  • Ensure you protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking the rental while you are out, just like you would back home.
  • During arrival, record any issues with the rental property and immediately alert the property manager. Keep records of all coorespondence.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful visitors disrupting your home life. Practice the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and attractions you would have never otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the property to confirm you've collected all personal items. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the property one final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host is not available, ensure that you take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition.
  • Leave a review! Property managers rely on great ratings to propel new reservations. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other families will appreciate that you share your review find their best vacation home. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
