Tips and Tricks to get the best vacation home experience:
Getting the best rental home value:
- Summer months are high season in Myrtle Beach. To book the best rental within budget, we highly recommend booking in Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at popular attractions and restaurants. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
- The sooner your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation homes are booked very early. Booking your rental up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental home.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your family qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer guests an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for details.
- Often, rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area travel guide magazines that include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Filter your rental search:
- Start by having your group choose dates and a max budget.
- Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Stunning Oceanfront 2bd\/2Ba Condo, Myrtle Beach has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts is usually accessible online. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property owner before you book your rental. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which typically includes pull out couches in living rooms.
- Visiting for a single event? If so, use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
- Traveling with pets? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your agreement! Pet fees or costs may be applied to your contract.
More tips for your stay:
- We recommend storing the host's contact information in your smartphone.
- To make certain that damages are not attributed to your stay, record any problem areas during check in. Get in touch with the property manager immediately to report your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often an excellent source for finding the best local attractions.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Keep the property locked while you are away! Don't let crooks ruin your trip.
- Re-check the rental property to make sure that you've packed everything on check-out day. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- After your trip, leave a review! Property managers rely on excellent feedback to compel future bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will will be grateful for your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
