Tips for getting the perfect vacation rental experience:
Get the best rental home value:
- Summer is high season in Myrtle Beach. To book the most suitable rental for your budget, we suggest reserving in Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at popular Myrtle Beach attractions and restaurants.
- The earlier your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation homes are reserved very early. Booking your vacation rental 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental.
- Some property managers offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your property manager if discounts are available for your group before you book.
- Management companies and individual rental owners often offer renters an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.
- Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area travel guides which often include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local companies, or through a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Make a plan and choose the perfect Myrtle Beach rental:
- Begin by choosing potential vacation weeks and a spending budget.
- Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your group requires. N Hampton 1609 Oceanview indoor\/outdoor pool\/Beach has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach vacation rental search.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed types is regularly accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, email the property owner before you book your rental. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches. You'll need to work out what bed configuration is best for your family.
- Are you visiting for a single attraction or event? If so, use a map search to browse nearby rentals.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
- Some rentals allow pets, and others do not. Acceptable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask the host about pets before booking.
More tips for your visit:
- Get the owner's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental property. We recommend storing the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Note any issues with the rental during check in, and immediately send them to the host. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be valuable if there is a dispute.
- Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a terrific resource to find the best local beaches and restaurants.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Keep your rental home locked while you are out! Don't let thieves spoil your vacation.
- Just before checking out, complete a walk-through to confirm you did not forget anything. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the rental one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager isn't available, take video and pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Remember to leave a review! Property managers rely on good feedback to inspire more bookings. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your experience find their best vacation home. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
