Tricks and tips for getting the perfect Myrtle Beach rental home experience:
When to go & When to reserve a Myrtle Beach rental home:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner you can book, the better your selection will be. The best vacation homes are reserved very early. Booking your vacation rental six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental home.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of SC. To get the largest vacation home within your budget, we highly recommend booking in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at your favorite Myrtle Beach restaurants and activities.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer guests an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which usually costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for specifics.
- Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guide magazines which include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Finding the perfect rental home in the Myrtle Beach area:
- Select your dates and spending budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Myrtle Beach getaway nestled just a block away from the beach has 2 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts is regularly available online. Otherwise, email or call the property owner before reserving your rental. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to determine what bed configuration is best for your vacation.
- If your family is vacationing with pets, you must book a rental that allows animals. Request specifics on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Usually, property owners charge additional pet fees.
- If there's an individual Myrtle Beach destination you long to visit, search for homes that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your needs.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental
More considerations for your visit:
- Store the owner's contact information in your smartphone.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, stereo or WIFI setup. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent quite a few issues.
- Lock your rental home while you're out. Keep your property safe!
- During arrival, make note of any damages to the property and immediately alert the property manager. Keep records of all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a fantastic source for finding the best local scenic spots.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Double-check every room of the property to make sure that you've packed everything on check-out day. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Please make sure to walk through the property one final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager is not available, ensure that you take video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your group have a fantastic time? Many rental home management companies make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property manager was wonderful, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was wrong and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
