Tips to get the best Myrtle Beach rental experience:
When to book a Myrtle Beach rental & When to go:
- To book the most suitable vacation home for your budget, we strongly suggest reserving in the Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at Myrtle Beach restaurants, beaches, and activities.
- Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups book their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner whether your vacationing group qualifies for a special rate.
- Property managers usually offer their guests an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
- Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area travel guides which often include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Make a plan and choose the right Myrtle Beach vacation home:
- Select vacation dates and maximum budget.
- Note the number beds and the configuration your family needs. New! Direct Ocean Front Luxury Suite Condo with 3 balconies with Amazing Views!! has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rental home search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is often available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, email the property owner before reserving your rental. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds.
- If there's a certain Myrtle Beach destination you long to visit, search for properties that are either nearby, or those that cater to your desires.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available before booking
- Remember to include your furry companions! Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your agreement! Additional pet fees or might be applied to your agreement.
More considerations:
- Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Save the instructions to your phone, and take a printed backup.
- To make sure that no damages are linked to your visit, inspect the rental for any problem areas during check in. message the property manager immediately to document your findings. If there is a dispute, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, elevator or appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent lots of concerns.
- Be respectful of your neighbors. Often times, surrounding homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies is the right thing to do.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Protect the owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are out, just like you would at home.
- Upon check-out, take a final walk-through to make sure you haven't forget anything. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- After your trip, leave a review! Property owners rely on excellent reviews to stimulate more reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other families will be thankful you shared your experience find their best vacation home. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
