Tips and Tricks to get the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:
When to visit Myrtle Beach & When to book:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Myrtle Beach area. Reserve your Myrtle Beach rental in Fall or Spring to get the benefit of warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families reserve their Summer rentals during holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Property managers typically offer their guests an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for details.
- Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guide magazines that include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Make a plan and choose a perfectrental:
- Begin by choosing your a vacation week and a spending budget.
- Note the number beds and the bed configuration you need. Newly Remodeled Queen Suite - 204 Meridian Plaza has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is almost always accessible on booking websites. If not, email the property owner before reserving your rental. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes pull out couches in living rooms.
- Are you visiting for a specific attraction or event? If so, use a map search to browse nearby rentals.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. .
- Traveling with pets? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Pet fees or could be applied to your agreement.
More tips for your stay:
- Be sure you get the host's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental property. Put the manager's information in your smartphone.
- To make sure that damages aren't linked to your family's stay, inspect the property for any problem areas upon your arrival. Contact the host right away to document any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, intercom or appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent many issues.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be a great source for finding the best local scenic spots.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Ensure you protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental while you are gone, just like you would back home.
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the rental to make sure you've collected all of your things. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Leave a review! Hosts rely on excellent ratings to compel more bookings. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other families will be thankful you shared your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
