Our top Rental home booking tips:

When to visit Myrtle Beach & When to book:

  • To get the largest vacation home within budget, we strongly suggest reserving in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at popular attractions and restaurants. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier your group can book, the easier your search will be. The best vacation rentals are booked very early. Booking your rental home up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your rental home.
  • Hosts sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your group before you book.
  • Booking websites usually offer renters an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach area magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great information, travel guide magazines have deals for local attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.

Use filters to search efficiently:

  • Select your vacation dates and maximum budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration you need. Ocean front one bedroom with an amazing view , 404 has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is often accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, reach out to the property owner before reserving the home. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to determine what is right for your vacation group.
  • If there's a specific Myrtle Beach attraction you are crazy about, keep an eye out for properties that are either close by, or those that cater to your requirements.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
  • Some properties allow pets, but some don't. Allowable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask the property manager about pets before booking.

During your stay:

  • We recommend storing the manager's information in your smartphone.
  • To make sure that damages aren't linked to your family's stay, inspect the rental for any problem areas during check in. E-mail the property manager immediately to report any issues. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor. Often, nearby homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Lock your rental property while you are gone! Don't let burglars spoil your trip.
  • At departure, complete a walk-through to make sure you didn't forget any personal items. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the property one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the host is not available, remember to take photographs of the rental to record its condition.
  • Remember to leave a review! Hosts rely on great reviews to stimulate more bookings. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other families will be thankful you shared your review and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
