Our top Myrtle Beach rental property booking tips and tricks:
Finding your perfect rental:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner you can reserve a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best properties are reserved very early. Booking your vacation rental six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental.
- Summer is high season in Myrtle Beach. Reserve your Myrtle Beach rental in Fall or Spring months to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
- Some hosts offer special rates for active duty military and veterans. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if special discounts are available for your group before you book.
- Property managers usually offer customers an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for specifics.
- Look for your local visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local information, visitor guide magazines have money saving offers on nearby attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.
How to pick the best vacation rental in Myrtle Beach:
- First and foremost, have your group choose the best dates and a budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your group requires. B 119, Ocean Pearl @Myrtle Beach Resort \/ Coastal Comfort Family Fun Vacation! has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed types is regularly available on booking websites. If they are not listed, email the property management company before booking your home. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks.
- Some rentals allow pets, but some do not. Acceptable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask the owner about your furry family members before booking.
- Is your family looking for special amenities? Most rental search websites include amenity lists and search filters. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find your ideal rental home.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking
Advice for a wonderful stay:
- Take a copy of the host's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental property.
- Property managers are great sources of help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
- Protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home while you are gone, just like you would back home.
- Upon check-in, document any issues with the rental property and immediately contact the owner. Record all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be an excellent resource to find the best local spots.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Just prior to departing, take a walk-through to make sure you haven't forget any personal items. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Leave a review! Property owners rely on good reviews to inspire more reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
