Getting the best rental experience:

Get the best rental value:

  • The earlier you can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation rentals are reserved early. Booking your vacation rental 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental property.
  • Summer is the most expensive season in the Myrtle Beach area. To get the best value, shift your group's vacation to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer warm weather, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host whether your group qualifies for a special rate.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners often offer their guests an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for specifics.
  • Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area travel guides that include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Selecting the perfect vacation rental:

  • Select a group leader, choose your dates, and choose a budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your group requires. Ocean view condo, with full access to all resort amenities, 108 Brighton!! has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally available online. If they are not listed, email or call the property owner before you book the vacation property. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to establish which bed configuration is optimal for your vacation group.
  • Remember to include your furry companions! Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your agreement! Extra fees or could be applied to your contract.
  • Are you visiting for a specific event? Try a map search to find nearby properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking.

During your stay:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and save the directions to your phone.
  • Hosts are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking the rental when you are out, just like you would at home.
  • To ensure that no damages are attributed to your stay, note any problem areas during check in. Get in touch with the host right away to document any issues. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. You will magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be a terrific resource to find the best local beaches.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Double-check the property to confirm that you've packed all personal items on check-out day. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the property a final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the manager is not available, remember to take photographs of the property to record its condition.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Property owners rely on excellent reviews to compel new bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other families will be thankful you shared your experience find their best vacation home. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.
