Whether you are looking to stay busy at the water park, play some beach volleyball, or bring the little ones to the playground right along the ocean there are endless options. Also, while you are there, play some mini golf, corn hole, horseshoes, basketball and maybe you want to try out the skateboard park. There are a few snack bars, a market and golf car units available.

How to get the best vacation home experience:
When to go & When to reserve a Myrtle Beach rental home:
- Summer time is high season in Myrtle Beach. To find the best value, try changing your vacation dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer pleasant temperatures, , and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
- Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families book their Summer rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Some property managers offer rate reductions for veterans. Ask your host or property manager if special discounts are available for your family.
- Property managers typically offer their guests an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for details.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach area magazine when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, travel guides contain deals for local accommodations, tours and attractions.
How to choose and book the best Myrtle Beach rental:
- Choose your vacation dates and max budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the configuration you need. Ocean Views - Newly Renovated 4BR\/ 3BA Stilt Home in Ocean Lakes - 1006 has 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts is often accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, reach out to the property management company before booking the home. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches. You will need to determine what bed configuration is right for your vacation.
- Visiting for a specific event? If so, use a map search to browse nearby rentals.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. .
- Traveling with pets? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional pet fees or costs may be applied to your contract.
More tips for your visit:
- Take a copy of the owner's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental home.
- During arrival, make note of any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the host. Keep records of all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
- Hosts are great sources of help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud visitors disrupting your peaceful home life. Employ the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and scenic spots you would have not otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking the property while you are away, just like you would at home.
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the property to make sure you've collected all belongings. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did you have a fantastic time? Most rental managers make it easy for customers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or host was wonderful, they would love to hear about it. If anything was amiss and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
