Tricks and tips to get the best vacation rental experience:

Get the best rental value:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Myrtle Beach area. Book your Myrtle Beach rental property in Fall or Spring to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities.
  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner your group can reserve a home, the easier your search will be. The best properties are booked very early. Reserving your vacation rental six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and book your rental property.
  • Hosts sometimes offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your family.
  • Property managers often offer their guests an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for additional information.
  • Many rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guides that include special offers, either offered independently by local companies, or through a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Planning, selecting, and booking your prefect Myrtle Beach rental home:

  • Select a group lead, select your vacation week, and select a spending budget.
  • Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Ocean Forest Villas Upgraded Oceanfront 1st Floor Condo-Amazing Views \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is usually available on booking websites. If not, contact the host before you reserve the property. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches. You'll need to work out what configuration is optimal for your family.
  • Visiting for a specific event or attraction? If so, use a map search to locate nearby properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.
  • If your group is bringing pets, you'll need to find a pet-friendly rental. Get details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Often, property owners charge additional pet fees.

More tips for your stay:

  • Take a copy of the property manager's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental home.
  • Upon check-in, document any damages to the property and immediately alert the host. Record all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, A/V setup or appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents a lot of difficulties.
  • Be respectful. Often times, nearby homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies is the right thing to do.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Keep the property locked while you're gone! Don't let crooks ruin your family vacation.
  • Re-check every room of the property to confirm that you've packed everything on check-out day. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Please make sure to walk through the property one final time and scan for damage. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the property manager is not available, remember to take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did your group have a fantastic vacation? Many rental websites make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your property and/or property manager was wonderful, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was imperfect and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
