Myrtle Beach rental booking tips:

Sticking to a spending plan:

  • To find the most suitable vacation home within budget, we strongly suggest reserving in Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at popular Myrtle Beach attractions and restaurants. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months.
  • Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families book their Summer vacation rentals during Winter holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Hosts sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans. Ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your family.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer their guests an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for additional information.
  • Many rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guide magazines that include special deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Selecting the best rental in Myrtle Beach:

  • Select your vacation week and maximum budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your family needs. 704 Direct Oceanfront 2 bedroom\/2 bath condo has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rental home search.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed types is normally available on booking pages. If they are not listed, call the property owner before you book your rental. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches. You'll need to determine which bed configuration is right for your vacation group.
  • Does your family require specific amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters for amenities. Use these filters to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking
  • Some rentals allow pets, but others do not. Allowable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask your host about allowable pet guidelines before booking.

Tips to have a great stay:

  • Be sure you get the owner's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental home.
  • To make sure damages aren't linked to your stay, note any problem areas upon check in. Make contact with the property manager right away to document any damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Respect your neighbors. Frequently, adjacent homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking regulations is the right thing to do.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can usually help. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking the property while you are gone, just like you would at home.
  • Re-check the rental property to confirm that you've packed all belongings at departure. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Walk through the rental a final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host isn't available, take video and pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Leave feedback! Hosts rely on excellent reviews to compel more reservations. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other families will will be grateful for your experience find their best vacation home. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
