How to find the best rental home experience:

When to visit & When to reserve a rental home:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Myrtle Beach. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best rental properties are reserved very early. Reserving your rental six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental home.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your family qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Property managers usually offer guests an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area travel guide magazines which will include special offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Planning and picking your Myrtle Beach rental:

  • Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Oceanfront 2 Bedroom, 2 Bath, Immaculate Condo has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts is almost always available on booking websites. If not, email or call the property management company before you book the vacation property. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • Visiting for a specific event or attraction? Use a map search to find nearby properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental
  • If your family is vacationing with pets, you'll need to search for a pet-friendly property. Make sure to ask for specifics on breed, weight, and type requirements. Some hosts charge additional pet fees.

More tips for your stay:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and save the instructions to your phone.
  • To make sure damages are not attributed to your family's stay, make a record of any problem areas upon check in. text the host immediately to record any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be valuable.

  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can frequently help. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are away, just like you would back home.
  • Upon check-out, complete a walk-through to confirm you didn't forget any personal items. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
