Tips for getting the best Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:
Cost saving strategies:
- The sooner you can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are reserved very early. Booking your vacation property up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation rental.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of SC. To find the best value, consider shifting your family's Myrtle Beach vacation week to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer pleasant temperatures, , and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your vacationing group qualifies for a reduced rate.
- Property managers usually offer guests an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.
- Often, rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guides which include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Selecting the best vacation home in Myrtle Beach:
- Choose a group leader, select your dates, and choose a maximum budget.
- Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your group needs. Ocean View Retreat: Includes Breakfast 10th Flr has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is almost always accessible online. Otherwise, contact the property owner before you book your rental. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to work out what configuration is suitable for your trip.
- Remember to include your furry companions! Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your rental agreement! Extra fees or costs might be applied to your agreement.
- If there's a particular Myrtle Beach beach you love, look for homes that are either near by, or those that cater to your requirements.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. .
During your stay:
- Take a copy of the property manager's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental home. Put the host's information in your smartphone.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, elevator or appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent quite a few concerns.
- Lock your rental home while you are away. Protect your property!
- Note any damages to the rental at check in, and immediately e-mail them to the host. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are valuable if a dispute is filed.
- Respect the neighborhood. Frequently, nearby homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking policies is the right thing to do.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can often help. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected all of your things. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the rental one final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, take photographs of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- After your trip, leave feedback! Property managers rely on good ratings to drive new bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other families will be thankful you shared your review and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
