Our top Vacation rental home tips:
Getting the most from your vacation rental budget:
- Summertime is high season in Myrtle Beach. Reserve your rental home in the Spring or Fall to enjoy beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best rental homes are booked early. Reserving your rental home up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation home.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host if your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction.
- Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer their guests an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for specifics.
- Many rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guides which will include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Use filters to narrow your rental search:
- Begin by choosing vacation dates and a maximum budget.
- Note the number beds and the configuration your group needs. 7th Floor Caravelle Towers Pools and Beach has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is commonly accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, reach out to the host before booking your rental. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds. You will need to work out what configuration is optimal for your family.
- If there's a particular Myrtle Beach destination you crave, keep an eye out for properties that are either close by, or those that cater to your desires.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.
- If your group is bringing pets, you must reserve a rental that allows animals. Request information on breed, weight, and type requirements. Usually, property owners charge additional pet fees.
Tips for a fantastic stay:
- Get the property manager's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your . We recommend storing the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Upon check-in, document any issues with the rental property and immediately alert the property manager. Keep records of all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
- Property managers are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
- Be respectful of your neighbors. Frequently, surrounding homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations is the right thing to do.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can typically help. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Lock your rental while you are away. Keep your property safe!
- Re-check every room of the property to make sure that you've packed all belongings on check-out day. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your family have a great stay? Most rental management companies make it easy for customers to provide comments. If your rental property and/or host was great, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was inoperable and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
