Booking the best Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:

Finding your perfect rental:

  • The earlier your group can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are booked very early. Reserving your vacation home up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental home.
  • Summer time is high season in Myrtle Beach. To find the largest rental home within budget, we suggest reserving in Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at the beach and popular attractions. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season.
  • Property managers sometimes offer promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Ask your property manager if special offers are available for your family.
  • Property managers often offer renters an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
  • Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local articles, visitor guides have offers and deals for local tours and attractions.

Narrow your rental Search:

  • Choose your vacation week and budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. Remodeled 2BR Condo: Golf, Beach, Pool, Broadway has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is regularly accessible on booking pages. If not, reach out to the property owner before you book your home. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to determine which bed configuration is optimal for your vacation family.
  • Some properties allow pets, but others don't. Allowable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the host about your furry family members before booking.
  • Are you visiting for a single event? If so, use a map search to browse nearby rentals.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking

More tips for your stay:

  • Add the property manager's information to your phone. Understand and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or kitchen appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents quite a few concerns.
  • Lock your rental property while you are out! Don't let thieves ruin your trip.
  • Document any damages to the property upon arrival, and immediately e-mail them to the host. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that are useful if damages are assessed.
  • Be respectful of your neighbors. Often times, adjacent homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the property to confirm you've collected all belongings. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the rental one final time and look for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the property manager is not available, take photos of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a terrific vacation? Many rental managers make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your property and/or property management company was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was defective and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
