How to find the best vacation property experience:

Cost saving strategies:

  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best rental properties are reserved early. Booking your rental property six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental property.
  • June, July, and August are high season in the Myrtle Beach area. To get the best value, try changing your vacation week to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer warm weather, , and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner if your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer renters an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
  • Often, rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides which include special deals, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Planning and choosing a perfect Myrtle Beach rental home:

  • Select a group leader, select your vacation week, and select a maximum budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the configuration you need. See the views from this oceanfront condo on the 19th floor!! has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is regularly accessible on booking pages. If not, contact the host before you book the rental. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • Do your family pets travel with you? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your agreement! Additional pet fees or charges could be applied to your contract.
  • If there's a certain Myrtle Beach beach you love, look for rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before reserving a rental

More tips for your visit:

  • Add the host's contact information to your smartphone. Print and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, television set or thermostat. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent many concerns.
  • Lock your rental property while you are away! Don't let burglars ruin your family vacation.
  • Make a record of any issues with the property at check in, and immediately send them to the owner. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that can be beneficial if damages are attributed to your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome vacationers disrupting your home life. Apply the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and scenic spots you would've never otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • On check-out day, complete a final walk-through to confirm you have not leave anything behind. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the property one final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the property manager is not available, take photographs of the rental to record its condition.
  • Remember to leave a review! Hosts rely on excellent feedback to drive new reservations. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your experience find their best vacation home. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
