How to find the best Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:
When to book a Myrtle Beach rental & When to go:
- To book the best rental for your budget, we highly recommend booking in Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at popular Myrtle Beach attractions and restaurants. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer.
- The sooner you can reserve a home, the easier your search will be. The best rental properties are reserved early. Booking your rental six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and book your vacation rental.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your family qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
- Booking websites typically offer their guests an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for specifics.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local stories, travel guides contain money saving offers on nearby restaurants, attractions, and tours.
Narrow your Search:
- Start by choosing your trip dates and a maximum budget.
- Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Serene 3 Bedroom Condo for 8! Dunes Pointe F15 has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed types is generally accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, email or call the property manager before reserving the home. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You'll need to work out what is best for your family.
- Visiting for a specific event or attraction? If so, use a map search to find nearby properties.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
- Remember to include your furry companions! Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional pet fees or charges could be applied to your agreement.
More considerations:
- Take a copy of the host's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your .
- Note any issues with the rental upon arrival, and immediately send them to the property manager. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that can be useful if there is a dispute.
- Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable vacationers bothering your peaceful home life. Practice the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would've never otherwise known about!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Lock your vacation home while you're away. Protect the owner's property and your things!
- Re-check every room of the property to confirm that you've packed everything at check-out. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did your group have a terrific vacation? Most rental management companies make it easy for customers to provide reviews. If your property and/or host was terrific, they would love to hear about it. If anything was amiss and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
