Tricks and tips to get the perfect rental experience:
Finding your perfect rental:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal SC. To get the best value, change your group's vacation to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer pleasant weather, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner your group can book, the better your selection will be. The best rental properties are booked very early. Booking your vacation rental 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your rental property.
- Some property management companies offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if discounts are available for your group.
- Property managers frequently offer customers an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.
- Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area travel guide magazines which include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Choosing and booking a perfect Myrtle Beach vacation home:
- Select a group lead, choose your dates, and select a maximum budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. Ocean Lakes Site 6004 Beautiful 5bdrm, 3.5 bath sleeps 10 guest has 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is normally available on booking pages. If not, email or call the property manager before you reserve the vacation property. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds.
- Is your group looking for unique amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters with amenity lists. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find your ideal rental home.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
- Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your agreement! Additional fees or might be applied to your agreement.
Some things to know before you go:
- Add the host's information to your smartphone. Take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- At Check-in, record any issues with the property and immediately contact the host. Keep records of all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
- Property managers are great sources of help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious visitors disrupting your life at home. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and attractions you would have never otherwise known about!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property while you are away, just like you would back home.
- Double-check the property to confirm that you've packed all of your belongings at departure. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the rental a final time and scan for damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the host isn't available, remember to take video of the rental to record its condition.
- Leave a review! Property owners rely on good feedback to inspire future bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will will be grateful for your review and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
