Booking the best vacation rental experience:

When to go & When to reserve a Myrtle Beach rental home:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of SC. Book your Myrtle Beach rental in the Spring or Fall to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season.
  • Book your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups book their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Some hosts and property managers offer discounts for veterans. Check with your property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your group before you book.
  • Property managers usually offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Often, rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guides that include special offers, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Make a plan and pick a perfectvacation home:

  • Select a group lead, choose your dates, and select a maximum budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your group requires. Stylish, Spacious, 2BD\/2BA, Myrtle Beach, WiFi, Pool, 4 Min. Beach Walk has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts is usually available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, email or call the host before you reserve the rental. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to work out what configuration is best for your family.
  • Is your group looking for special amenities? Most websites include search filters with amenity lists. Use these to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking
  • Remember to include your furry companions! Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional fees or costs might be applied to your agreement.

Additional considerations:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and save the directions to your phone.
  • Document any damages to the rental at check in, and immediately e-mail them to the owner. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are valuable if a dispute arises.
  • Property managers are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
  • Respect the neighborhood. Frequently, surrounding homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Lock your vacation home while you are out and about. Protect your property!
  • Re-check the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all of your family's items at check-out. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the rental a final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager is not available, take photographs of the property to record its condition.
  • Did your family have a fantastic stay? Many rental management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your property and/or property manager was terrific, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was out of order and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
