Finding the best Myrtle Beach rental experience:

Finding the best rental value:

  • Summertime is the most expensive season in the Myrtle Beach area. Reserving a rental home in Spring or Fall is a good way to save on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable properties. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • Book your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules generally open 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer rate reductions for active duty military and veterans. Check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your family.
  • Property management companies frequently offer their guests an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which generally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great articles, visitors guides have money saving offers on local accommodations, restaurants and tours.

Filter your rental search:

  • Start by choosing a vacation week and a budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. The Cozy Condo, 1st floor, just steps to beach! has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is regularly available on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, email or call the host before you book the property. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches.
  • Are you visiting for a specific event or attraction? Use a map search to find nearby properties.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Make certain to ask about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
  • If your family is traveling with pets, you'll need to find a pet-friendly vacation rental. Request details on breed, size, and type requirements. Note that some property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.

Have a great stay:

  • Get the owner's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental property. Put the host's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Make a record of any damages to the rental during check in, and immediately contact the property manager. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that are beneficial if a dispute is filed.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, stereo or thermostat. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent lots of problems.
  • Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Often, nearby homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Lock your rental while you're out and about. Protect your property!
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the rental to make sure you've collected all personal items. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the rental one final time and look for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager isn't available, take video and pictures of the property to record its condition.
  • Leave feedback! Hosts rely on great feedback to stimulate more reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other families will will be grateful for your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
