How to book the best Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:

How to get the best rental value:

  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner you can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation rentals are booked early. Booking your rental property up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your vacation home.
  • Summertime is high season in Myrtle Beach. To book the largest vacation home within budget, we highly recommend booking in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll enjoy lower rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at the beach and popular Myrtle Beach attractions.
  • Hosts sometimes offer discounts for veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if special offers are available for your group.
  • Property managers often offer renters an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for details.
  • Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guide magazines which include special offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Planning, selecting, and booking the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation home:

  • Begin by selecting your the best vacation week and a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the configuration your group needs. Turtle Cove - Modern Oceanfront 3 BR Condo with Pool has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is often available on booking websites. If not, email the host before you reserve the rental. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to work out which bed configuration is optimal for your vacation.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, and some do not. Acceptable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask the property management company about pet restrictions before booking.
  • Visiting for a single attraction or event? If so, use a map search to locate nearby properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before booking.

Some things to know before you go:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Add a note with the instructions to your phone, and take a printed copy.
  • Hosts are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
  • Keep your rental home locked while you are gone! Don't let crooks ruin your family vacation.
  • Note any issues with the property during check in, and immediately contact the owner. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that can be very helpful if a dispute is filed.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often an incredible source for finding the best local attractions.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can typically help. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Double-check the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all belongings at check-out. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Hosts rely on excellent feedback to inspire new reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will will be grateful for your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.
