Booking the best Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:
Finding the best rental value:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier your group can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation rentals are reserved very early. Reserving your rental up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and book your rental.
- Summer months are the most expensive season in the Myrtle Beach area. To get the best vacation home within budget, we strongly suggest reserving in the Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at restaurants, beaches, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host whether your group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
- Booking websites often offer their guests an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
- Look for your local visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, travel guides have offers and deals for nearby tours, shops, and attractions.
Selecting the perfect rental in the Myrtle Beach area:
- Select vacation week and spending budget.
- Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your group needs. V26 On the Coast of Somewhere Beautiful is where you want to be. has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is often available on booking pages. If they are not listed, contact the host before reserving the vacation home. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches. You will need to work out what bed configuration is right for your vacation family.
- If your group is bringing pets, filter your search for a pet-friendly property. Request details on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Be aware that some property managers charge additional pet fees.
- If there's an individual Myrtle Beach beach you long to visit, look for properties that are either nearby, or those that cater to your requirements.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are available before booking
Some things to know before you go:
- Add the owner's information to your phone. Print and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, elevator or kitchen appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call prevents many problems.
- Lock your vacation home while you are out. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
- Note any issues with the rental at check in, and immediately send them to the owner. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that can be helpful if a dispute arises.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a fantastic resource to find the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
- At departure, complete a final walk-through to confirm you did not forget anything. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- After your trip, leave a review! Hosts rely on excellent feedback to inspire future bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your experience find their best vacation rental. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
