Our top Rental home tips:
Finding the best value:
- To book the most suitable vacation home for your budget, we strongly suggest booking in the Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at restaurants, beaches, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner your group can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best properties are booked early. Booking your vacation rental 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation rental.
- Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Check with your host or property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your group before you book.
- Booking websites usually offer their guests an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
- Many rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guide magazines which include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Narrow your rental Search:
- Select a group lead, choose your vacation dates, and choose a spending budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. Charming Gateway in OF 3BR Condo 12th Floor has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed types is commonly accessible on booking pages. If not, contact the property management company before you book your home. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes pull out couches in living rooms. You will need to work out what is best for your vacation family.
- If there's a certain Myrtle Beach beach you crave, search for rentals that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. .
- Traveling with pets? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your rental agreement! Pet fees or may be applied to your invoice.
More considerations for your visit:
- Get the owner's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental. Put the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Upon check-in, document any issues with the property and immediately alert the host. Keep records of all coorespondence.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, elevator or thermostat. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent lots of concerns.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are a terrific resource to find the best local beaches and hangouts.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Lock your rental home while you are out. Protect your property!
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the rental to reconfirm you've collected all of your things. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the property one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager is not available, remember to take photographs of the property to record its condition.
- Remember to leave feedback! Property managers rely on excellent feedback to drive more bookings. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your review and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
