Booking the best Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:
Getting the best rental home value:
- Booking your vacation home in the Spring or Fall is our best tip for saving money on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable homes. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
- Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families book their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your group qualifies for a discount.
- Property managers typically offer their guests an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
- Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area travel guide magazines which often include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Use filters to search efficiently:
- Select a group lead, choose your trip dates, and select a maximum budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. !!!NEWLY RENOVATED!!! DIRECT OCEAN FRONT CONDO-Unit 104 has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, contact the property owner before you book the vacation property. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds and bunks.
- Looking for unique amenities? Most websites include search filters for amenities. Use these to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. .
- If your group is vacationing with pets, filter your search for a property that allows animals. Request details on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Be aware that some hosts charge pet deposits and fees.
More tips for your stay:
- Store the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Record any issues with the property during check in, and immediately contact the property manager. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that can be helpful if there is a dispute.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, intercom or thermostat. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent many problems.
- Be a good neighbor. Often, nearby homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking policies is the right thing to do.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can frequently help. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Keep your rental home locked while you are out! Don't let crooks ruin your holiday.
- Just prior to departing, take a final walk-through to make sure you didn't leave anything behind. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Walk through the rental a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the host isn't available, take video and pictures of the property to record its condition.
- Did you have a wonderful time? Many rental home management companies make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property manager was terrific, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was defective and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
