Tricks and tips to get the best Myrtle Beach vacation home experience:
When to visit & When to book:
- Reserve your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families book their Summer vacation rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Reserve your Myrtle Beach vacation in the Fall or Spring to get the benefit of warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities.
- Some property management companies offer special rates for veterans and active duty military. Ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your group.
- Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer their guests an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for details.
- Many management companies supply Myrtle Beach area travel guides which often include special offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Selecting the best rental home in Myrtle Beach:
- First, have your family choose vacation dates and a spending budget.
- Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. 10th-floor studio with AC, pool, & hot tub has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is almost always accessible on booking pages. If not, email or call the property owner before reserving the property. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds and bunks.
- If your family is vacationing with pets, you'll need to book a pet-friendly property. Get details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Note that some property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.
- If there's an individual Myrtle Beach destination you simply love, search for properties that are either near by, or those that cater to your needs.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. .
Tips to have a great stay:
- Add the owner's contact info to your phone. Print and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, television set or kitchen appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent lots of concerns.
- Lock your rental while you are away. Keep your property safe!
- To make certain that damages aren't attributed to your visit, inspect for any problem areas when you arrive. Get in touch with the rental manager immediately to relay your findings. If there is a dispute, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be useful.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are a great resource to find the best local beaches and restaurants.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the property to make sure you've collected all belongings. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the property a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the manager isn't available, take pictures of the rental to record its condition.
- After your trip, leave a review! Property managers rely on excellent ratings to inspire new bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your review and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.
