Vacation rental booking tips:
Find your perfect rental home:
- The earlier you can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best rental homes are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation home up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your vacation rental.
- Summer is the most expensive season in the Myrtle Beach area. To find the best vacation home for your budget, we recommend booking in the Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at your favorite restaurants and activities.
- Property management companies sometimes offer rate reductions for veterans and active duty military. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your family.
- Property management companies typically offer their guests an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for details.
- Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area travel guide magazines that include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Filter your search:
- Begin by selecting a vacation week and a max budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your group requires. Amazing Ocean View Suite w/ King Bed + On-Site Pool has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is regularly available online. If not, reach out to the host before you reserve the rental. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds. You'll need to work out what is right for your vacation family.
- If your group is bringing pets, you will need a property that allows animals. Make sure to ask for details on breed, size, and type requirements. Often, property owners charge additional pet fees.
- If there's an individual Myrtle Beach beach you long to visit, search for homes that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking.
Advice for your stay:
- Store the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
- Hosts are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
- Keep the property locked while you're gone! Don't let thieves ruin your family vacation.
- To ensure that damages aren't linked to your visit, inspect the property for any problem areas upon your arrival. E-mail the property manager immediately to record any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be useful.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant visitors disrupting your peaceful neighborhood. Employ the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and attractions you would've not otherwise known about!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the property to confirm you've collected everything. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- After your trip, leave feedback! Property owners rely on good ratings to compel future reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other families will appreciate that you share your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
